** Pleas Note that when this sign-up sheet was originally made, times listed for Sunday's were not correct. They will by 10:00 - 1:00, not 9:00 - 12:00. If you had signed up for a 9:00 - 12:00 shift on a Sunday you don't actually need to be there until 10am. If this is a problem, and doesn't work with your schedule, let someone in community service know and we'll try and work you in somewhere. There are still open time slots for the other weekends.**
Terry and I helped sub for Jon as he was ill. We worked the Saturday shift at Harvest Foods.
ReplyDeleteI personally felt that it was going to be the single most boring chunk of time I ever spent anywhere. I was wrong. We went down there with my wife and we were shortly met by Candyce, Carrie, Bruce, Michael....and so on. Many folks were down there and we all had a great time! I stayed from 9am to 1pm and had some great laughs.
Our group tried alternative methods of drumming up interest and were constantly making connections with every patron we could!
The most important part was the fun that the PBL members had, but an also interesting feat was the $120 of cash donations and the 16 bags of groceries! Not bad for a Saturday morning in a store lobby!
