Walk A Mile In Their Shoes - 2010

Walk A Mile In Their Shoes is the walk against child abuse that members of Phi Beta Lambda are organizing and operating to help raise awareness of and put a stop to child abuse in our community. This is the second annual Walk A Mile In Their Shoes that Walla Walla has seen and we look forward to making this a memorable day in beautiful Pioneer Park.

The walk will occur on March 27, 2010, at Pioneer Park from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  This is a family event including field day activities for the children and a free lunch as long as supplies last.  There will be music, special speakers, and information to educate and raise the community’s awareness about child abuse prevention.  We will be walking the perimeter of Pioneer Park, which is 1.34 miles, once at 11:00 a.m. and a second time at 2:00 p.m.

We are representing the Council on Child Abuse Prevention and are contacting local businesses and people within the community such as you to ask for donations to the Walk a Mile in Their Shoes event, a walk against child abuse. There are two ways you may donate-  Of course we will accept cash or check (made payable to the Council on Child Abuse Prevention). These donations can be brought to the event or PBL President, Joshua Conley is available to pick your donations up. He can be contacted at 509-301-7831.

We are planning for a great day in the park with you and your family so won't you come and participate in support of this worthy cause.

Revolution Under The Dome

This March 6th, Phi Beta Lambda let's their hair down and gets more than just a little crazy for the Revolution Under The Dome! From 8pm to midnight, PBL takes over Walla Walla Community College's Dietrich Dome to host a club style event that will have your body moving, quaking, and shaking all over the dance floor!

Seven bucks gets you through the doorand the event starts as a red carpet affair as you stroll past the photographers into the jumpin' club and into a new utopia! Seattle's own DJ MC will be manning the turntables and a full breakdancing crew will channel the electricity from hour to hour with beats that move your feet!

PBL will be providing prizes hidden throughout the night as well as additional dance floor entertainment so watch for your chance to win big from a Dinner on El Sombrero to an iPod!!!

Proceeds from this event will benefit the American Cancer Society and the Children's Home Society.
